All We Can Save

Let me put you on to this amazing book that one of my best friends Arianne put me on to👀

🌟All We Can Save: Truth, Courage, and Solutions for the Climate Crisis, Edited by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson and Katharine K. Wilkinson🌟

But first a little back story: I’ve always cared about the environment, but the picture started to get scarier and scarier the more I read the news in college.

Through countless articles, I got the impression that everything was hopeless😖
While most people were made to look helpless, Musk-Bezos-Zuckerberg-Gates alone had the power to save the world, or just save humanity by taking us to space.

I stopped reading all that because it made me feel depressed, angry and cynical. I needed distance to gather myself and find sources with real info and insight, but that also had some inspiration.

[Enter: Arianne with All We Can Save]

This book met me right where I was at. And it showed me that this place we’re all at, this process of navigating environmental, social, and spiritual crisis, is *overflowing* with the leadership of girls and women. Of all different colors, classes, perspectives, ages and abilities!

This book is the realest collection of environmental essays ever. It’s informative and inspiring, and it was hard for me to resist reading every word. So I just went ahead and did it lol 😂

The editors @ayanaeliza @drkwilkinson did an excellent job organizing everything, introducing the book, and wrapping it up. When I teach my classes about climate and environment, all of the readings come from this book.

Long story short this is the best book for learning more about climate change and what we can do about it, whoever and wherever we are.
